There is a properties panel, which can be accessed by pressing the N key on your keyboard. This is a timeline and it is used for animations. On the left hand side of the 3d view you have the tool bar where you can bring in mesh objects (create), change the place of your mesh objects (transform), animations and many more.īelow the 3d view you will see lots of lines with numbers under them. This shows you what is inside your project (mesh objects, camera, text, lamp, etc.). Above the setting and options (top right corner above the symbols) you will see something like "render layers”,” world", etc. Next to the 3d view (to the right hand side) you will find many settings and options. On the right hand side you will be seeing an object, which looks like a sun, this is your lamp. On the left hand side, you will be seeing a transparent object with a black triangle on the top of it. You will see a cube in the centre of the screen. The part of the screen where you see the cube is called the 3d view. If you click anywhere on the screen the box will disappear. This locks the cube to movement along the green Y axis, and allows you to move it with the mouse on a line.Firstly you will be seeing a pop up box displaying the version number, an image and your recent projects. If you want to move the cube along the Y-axis (side to side), select the cube and press G > Y. Navigating is very much like plotting a set of coordinates. You can also use key commands to tell Blender what you want to do. You'll then see a list of available basic objects to add to the scene. If an object isn't available, you can create one by clicking Add > Mesh at the top of the screen. Practice this on the cube in the default scene in Object Mode. To Scale the objects you have selected in your 3D Viewport in Object Mode, use the S key. To resolve this, you have to think mathematically and change the parameters of your objects along fixed paths on the X, Y, and Z axes. You can do this by Moving, Scaling, and Rotating objects.
